§ Mr. WaddingtonOn 28 June 1983 a total of 172 people were detained under the Immigration Act 1971. Ninety-one were the subject of deportation orders; 17 were held under detention orders; 20 were detained after being 113W recommended for deportation by a court; 22 were illegal entrants and 22 were passengers who had been refused leave to enter or required to submit to further examination.
