§ Mr. JoplingFollowing the conclusions of the European Council on 18 June, the Government will join in an examination of a variety of questions relating to the common agricultural policy, including the need for strict financial guidelines. The examination will result in concrete steps compatible with market conditions being taken to ensure effective control of agricultural expenditure by making full use of available possibilities and examining all market organisations.
