§ Mr. NewtonAs at 7 June 1983, 1,669 cases were held by the Kirkby office awaiting a visit. This represents an average delay of approximately 32 working days before the visit can be made. Priority is still given to claimants not in receipt of supplementary benefit, to whom a visit can normally be made within a few days of the claim.
