§ Mrs. ChalkerThe decision to proceed with the scheme was announced on 10 November last year, following a Public Inquiry in 1981. Advance works have started, including the movement of statutory undertakers' plant and the demolition of vacant properties. Construction should start early in 1984 and will take approximately three years.
