§ Mr. JoplingThe United Kingdom supports paragraph 3.1.7 of the solemn declaration on continued development of the common agricultural policy, which entirely accords with the Government's aim to improve the operation of the common agricultural policy and with the declaration also made by the European Council to take concrete steps to ensure effective control of agricultural expenditure.
