§ Mr. Peter MorrisonThe total provision for grant-in-aid to the Manpower Services Commission for 1983–84 is £1,447 million. Allocations from the European social fund are made on a calendar year basis. The European Commission will not announce its decisions on the bulk of applications for support from the social fund in respect of current Manpower Services Commission programmes until later in the year.
