asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) if he will list by reason of refusal the number of visitors refused entry on arrival in the United Kingdom by immigration officers in the last 12 months or nearest period for which figures are available;

(2) how many visitors were held in custody after being refused entry on arrival in the United Kingdom by immigration officers in the last 12 months or nearest period for which figures are available;

(3) how many visitors refused entry on arrival in the United Kingdom by immigration officers were subsequently admitted and then failed to leave in the last 12 months or nearest period for which figures are available;

(4) how many visitors refused entry on arrival in the United Kingdom by immigration officers were subsequently admitted in the last 12 months or nearest period for which figures are available;

(5) how many visitors refused entry on arrival in the United Kingdom by immigration officers subsequently appealed against refusal to admit in the last 12 months or nearest period for which figures are available;

(6) how many visitors who were given temporary admission after being refused entry on arrival in the United Kingdom by immigration officers failed to report when required to do so in the last 12 months or nearest period for which figures are available;

(7) how many visitors were given temporary admission after being refused entry on arrival in the United Kingdom by immigration officers in the last 12 months or nearest period for which figures are available;

(8) how many visitors to the United Kingdom were stopped by immigration officers at ports in the last 12 months or the nearest period for which figures are available; and if he will break these figures down by port;

(9) how many visitors to the United Kingdom have applied for extensions of their visit in the last 12 months for which figures are available; how many were refused; how many appealed; and how long it took for the appeals to be heard.
