Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will list those advisory committees and other public bodies, for which he is responsible, which have a member appointed to them to represent disabled people or who have members who are themselves disabled, and, separately, those which do not; and if he will list the names of those so appointed to bodies in the first category.

1. Of the 30 public bodies that fall within the responsibility of the Department none has members appointed specifically to represent disabled people. Three have members who are themselves disabled. Twenty-four bodies do not have disabled members. In the remaining three cases, the information about disabled membership is not readily available.
