§ Mr. Corbettasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will make representations to the Turkish Government, either directly or through the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, about the reported presence of 15,000 Turkish troops in Iraq as a breach of the North Atlantic treaty.
§ Mr. WhitneyThis is a matter for the Governments of Turkey and Iraq. We do not consider that it is a case where representations should be made under the North Atlantic treaty.
