§ Mr. Robert Hughesasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he has implemented a system of type approval for devices designed or adopted for measuring by radar the speed of motor vehicles.
§ Mr. HurdThe Home Office scientific research and development branch is carrying out a programme of tests of radar speed detection devices. It is hoped that this will be completed by the end of this year, and that it will then be possible to prepare a system of type approval for such devices.
