to ask Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have received reports (a) that in some cases disabled persons are being refused equipment such as environmental controls and communication aids to help overcome their disabilitis: (b) that in other cases such persons are being deprived of such equipment after it has been supplied: and, if so. whether they will take steps to remedy the situation.

I am unaware of suitable patients being refused or deprived of environmental control or related aids provided directly by the department. If my noble friend has a particular case in mind, I shall be glad to look into it.
