§ Mr. LuceWe have taken every opportunity to appeal to the Iraqi authorities for Mr. Hagger's release, and for the release of our other detainee in Iraq, Mr. John Smith. We regret the failure of the Iraqi authorities to respond so far to these approaches, and will continue to press them vigorously to do so.
