§ Mr. Allen McKayasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, in view of the partial funding by host Governments of previous world wilderness congresses, Her Majesty's Government will give financial support to the third world wilderness congress, to be held in the United Kingdom in 1983.
§ Mr. WaldegraveGovernment funds for nature conservation purposes are already fully allocated for the current financial year. I have given this request careful consideration, but have concluded that it would not be appropriate to divert some of these resources in order to make a financial contribution to the third world wilderness congress.
