§ Dr. David Clarkasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether tenders are being sought from the Tyne Shipbuilding Group for the reconstruction work on RFA Sir Tristram.
§ Mr. Ian StewartA final decision to rebuild Sir Tristram is dependent on the outcome of a structural survey of the ship. However, preliminary inquiries have been made of several potential tenderers, including Tyne Shiprepairers Ltd. and Swan Hunter Shipbuilders on the Tyne to establish their interest in any such work.
