§ Mr. John PattenDetailed guidance on postal voting arrangements for hospital patients generally has been issued to health authorities. It asks health authorities to bring the arrangements to the notice of patients likely to benefit from them. Further guidance on this subject will be included in the advice to be issued shortly to health authorities on the implementation of the new provisions for the electoral registration of informal patients in mental illness and mental handicap hospitals.
