§ Mr. George Robertsonasked the Secretary of State for Defence how many officers in Her Majesty's armed forces have asked the Defence Council for permission to serve in the South African Defence Force.
§ Mr. StanleyFrom available records we know of six such cases. None of the officers concerned were on the active list. In all the cases of which we are aware, officers are asked to resign their commissions.
