§ Mr. HurdSeveral police forces have set up neighbourhood watch schemes and the Metropolitan police are in the process of doing so. Other forces are considering introducing such schemes. Encouraging progress has already been made in establishing, up and down the country, consultation groups aimed at improving liaison between police and public, and this work is continuing.
