§ Mr. Freesonasked the Lord Privy Seal if he will consider introducing creche facilities into the Palace of Westminster for use by hon. Members, their staff and other working mothers in the Palace, and constituents visiting their Members of Parliament.
§ Mr. BiffenThe provision of facilities such as a creche must be judged in the light of the great pressure on accommodation within the precincts caused by the needs of Members in connection with their parliamentary duties. In due course, the Services Committee will no doubt consider competing claims for any new parliamentary accommodation which may become available.
