§ Mr. Batisteasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the local authorities in the Yorkshire and Humberside region which have failed to cooperate with Her Majesty's Government in civil defence matters in the last two years.
§ Mr. HurdThere has been no failure to meet the requirements of the Civil Defence (Planning) Regulations 1974. The extent to which authorities have done more varies. Three of the county authorities, namely South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and Humberside have so far followed a policy of minimum compliance.
§ Mr. Batisteasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what information he has as to which local authorities in the Yorkshire and Humberside region employ nuclear officers or peace officers or equivalent staff.
