§ 51. Mr. Bill Walkerasked the Solicitor-General for Scotland what advice his Department has given to procurators fiscal with regard to prosecutions for caravan parking on Government land.
§ The Solicitor-General for ScotlandProcurators fiscal have been instructed by my noble and learned Friend the Lord Advocate to report all cases involving unauthorised camping by travelling people to the Crown Office. Each case is then considered by my noble and learned Friend personally and a decision is taken based on the merits of each case and having regard to all the circumstances including the availability of alternative sites.
No distinction is made between Government land and any other land.
