§ Mr. Batisteasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) if he will take steps to allow universities themselves to exploit the inventions and expertise arising from their publicly funded research without the involvement of the British technology group;
(2) if he will permit universities which carry out research on behalf of his Department to exploit such research for non-military purposes without the involvement of the British technology group.
