§ Mr. John Stradling ThomasThe second report of the enterprise zone monitoring study published in April 1983 showed that the number of firms and jobs newly established in the Welsh enterprise zone at Swansea between 1 June 1981 and 31 December 1982 was 68 and 705 respectively. The information about employment in individual firms was gathered in confidence and the figures about jobs in each firm cannot be released.
My hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for the Environment, the Member for Ealing, Acton (Sir G. Young) will be writing to my hon. Friend with a list of all firms newly established in all zones in England, Scotland and Wales up to 31 May 1982, the latest date at which this detailed information is available.
