§ Sir Hector Monroasked the Secretary of State for Scotland when the A702 between Abington and Biggar was closed to through traffic; for what reason; and when it will be reopened.
§ Mr. YoungerThe A702 south of Biggar was closed on 15 November 1982 to allow necessary repairs to be carried out to Lamington and Woodend bridges. The opportunity was also taken to re-surface most of the road. During the closure of the road for these works, a new water main was also laid between Biggar and Coulter. The road was reopened to traffic on 30 June 1983.
