§ Mr. MacfarlaneUp-to-date information on the amount of unused or underused land disposed of from the land registers up to 1 July is currently being collected for analysis. On the basis of the six-monthly monitoring return of 1 January and changes notified subsequently, a provisional estimate indicates that approximately 5,400 acres of land in local authority ownership have been sold or brought into use.
