§ Mr. Tim Smithasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what commencement dates he intends to propose for those provisions originally introduced in the Finance Bill before the Dissolution of the last Parliament but which are not to be included in the Finance Bill shortly to be presented.
§ Mr. RidleyAs my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer indicated in the debate on the Address, we are urgently reviewing those proposals in this year's first Finance Bill which were neither included in the Finance Act 1983 nor reintroduced in the new Finance Bill published last week so that we can announce as soon as possible, and in as much detail as possible, what action we intend to take on each of them. The question of commencement dates is being considered as part of that review.
