§ Mr. John Stradling ThomasFactories built in advance of specific demand by the Welsh development agency, the Development Board for Rural Wales, or by its predecessor organisations, and by the Cwmbran development corporation have in many cases undergone changes of tenancy or been sold over the years, and comprehensive information on advance factory employment as such is not available. The following table shows estimated employment in all the factories owned by the three providing bodies at 31 December in each of the years in question.
