§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what methods of disposal of calcium sulphate slurry from scrubbers or fluidised bed combustion operations has been assessed.
§ Mr. WaldegraveNo detailed assessment has yet been made, but the CEGB is looking into the question. The wet process produces a difficult acidic slurry, but other processes exist which could produce a usuable waste. No information is yet available on the disposal of wastes from fluidised bed plant.
