§ Mr. Brightasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when the United Kingdom will ratify the constitution of the United Nations industrial development organisation.
§ Mr. RaisonMy right hon. Friend signed the instrument of ratification on behalf of the United Kingdom on 23 June. The constitution provides for UNIDO's new status as a specialised agency of the United Nations. The constitution will enter into force on a date to be agreed by the member states which have ratified it.
