§ Mr. JoplingThe estimated cost in 1983–84 of £1.6 million will be found partly from a reduction in aid to drainage authorities for arterial drainage. The balance and the whole cost of £2.5 million from 1984–85 will be met by reducing the rate of grant for facilities for the drying and storage of grain which is not used for on-farm feed by the farm business which produces it. Statutory instruments were laid yesterday which will reduce by 10 percentage points the grant rates payable for grain drying and storage facilities.
