§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he is yet in a position to decide on extending the March deadline for applications for the enterprise allowance and on extending the geographical area of the scheme.
§ Mr. Peter MorrisonWe shall need to evaluate the pilot projects carefully before we take any decision about whether to extend the enterprise allowance scheme to other parts of the country. I hope to make an announcement shortly about the future of the scheme in the existing pilot areas.
