§ Mr. Neil Thorneasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what actions are taken by Her Majesty's Inspectorate to encourage schools to benefit as greatly as possible the ablest children.
§ Dr. BoysonHer Majesty's Inspectorate is concerned, as is the Government, that what is taught in schoools should match the needs of all pupils, including the most able. Her Majesty's Inspectorate provides advice on the education of able children through visits and inspection; through the provision of in-service training courses; through attendance at, and organisation of, conferences; and through the publication of reports and surveys.
