§ Mr. MayhewThe general level of police cover in Norfolk is a matter for the police authority in the first instance. It is reponsible for maintaining an adequate force and for determining the level of the police establishment, subject to my right hon. Friend's approval. He has received no application from Norfolk for his approval to an increase in the force establishment.
