§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeThe provision of cervical cytology recall facilities is a matter for district health authorities to determine in consultation with family296W practitioner committees. However, a special sum of £500,000 is to be made available to the cervical cytology recall programme as part of an Information Technology Year initiative. This will provide up to 20 micro-computers for FPCs who are running local recall schemes. I intend to announce details of the allocation of these funds as soon as possible.
