§ Mr. Christopher Priceasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) what estimate he has made of the number of overseas students at universities, polytechnics and colleges of higher and further education, 165W respectively, who have changed their status from "overseas" to "home" students as a result of the recent House of Lords decision on the issue;
(2) what estimate he has made of the cost to universities and local authorities of the recent House of Lords decision on overseas student status; and what arrangement he now intends to make to enable them to recoup that cost.
