HC Deb 20 January 1983 vol 35 c189W
Mr. McCrindle

asked the Minister for Trade what recent discussions he has had with private airlines on possible deregulation of routes and fares within the United Kingdom; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Sproat

Consideration of the possible deregulation of air routes and fares within the United Kingdom is still at an early stage.

Following my parliamentary answer to my hon. Friend on the subject of deregulation on 29 November 1982—[Vol. 33, c. 65], I have received views from a number of bodies concerned with civil aviation, including private sector airlines.
