§ 49. Mr. Dalyellasked the Minister for the Civil Service if he will make a statement on staff interchange schemes in the Civil Service.
§ Mr. HayhoeThere is a variety of schemes which enable civil servants to gain suitable and valuable experience beyond that which they would normally have within their Departments. They range from transfers to different types of work within their own or another department, through secondments to other public sector bodies and private sector organisations, to periods of attachment with overseas civil services. Civil servants are encouraged to participate in these schemes.
