§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Environment, in view of the threatened strike of workers within the water supply industry due to the National Water Council refusing to negotiate on the trade unions' claim as a result of a directive of the Government, whether he will advise the National Water Council to recommence negotiations and consider offering to these workers the same terms of settlement as was made to the chairmen and top paid executives of the nationalised industries.
