§ Mr. Murphyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what consideration will be given to the uprating of pensions in line with a special retail price index specifically reflecting pensioners' spending patterns which has been sent to him by Age Concern.
§ Mr. RossiI have considered the index put forward for discussion by Age Concern but have decided that it does not provide any improvement on the present basis for determining the uprating of benefits.
