HL Deb 17 January 1983 vol 437 cc1276-7WA
Viscount Hanworth

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will state the present position regarding the initiation of a pilot combined heat and power scheme for domestic heating.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Energy (The Earl of Avon)

The Government are at present examining the consultant's report on the feasibility of combined heat and power/district heating in the nine areas announced by my honourable friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Energy on 12th March 1981 in another place. The views of local authorities and other interested parties are being taken into account in the examination.
