HL Deb 17 January 1983 vol 437 cc1271-2WA
Lord Hale

asked Her Majest's Government:

Whether they have any plans to reorganise the system under which a dozen supertoxics are the subject of investigation by an almost equal number of committees.

Lord Trefgarne

No. I can assure the noble Lord that the number of expert and specialist advisory committees investigating the very wide range of chemicals for any potential hazard to man, other animals and the environment is no more than necessary to give effective advice to Government.
