§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeAllegations are received on a variety of matters relating to the working of the Abortion Act. All those which provide sufficient information on which to base an enquiry are pursued by the Department and, where appropriate, referred to the police or the Director of Public Prosecutions. Since May 1979 papers have been referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions on seven occasions.
