Mr. Ronald W. Brownasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list in the Official Report the amount of penalty clawback from the London borough of Hackney for the years 1980–81, 1981–82 and 1982–83.

§ Mr. Giles ShawHackney is not subject to any abatement of rate support grant in respect of 1980–81. On the basis of its budget returns, the borough is liable to grant abatement of £0.455 million for 1981–82 and £1.331 million for 1982–83. Both figures will in due course be adjusted in the light of the borough's actual outturn expenditure.
