§ Mr. HayhoeThe Government are studying the BSA report "The future constitution and powers of building societies" with care and will be taking account of views expressed by other interested parties before reaching conclusions. The implications of the proposals it contains for the financial position of building societies and for the provision of housing finance are clearly important factors for the Government to take into account.
