§ Mr. Bill Walkerasked the Minister for Trade how many reports of near misses have been received by his Department in the last three years for the airspace covered by the advisory route between Edinburgh-Glasgow and Aberdeen; and how many of the near misses reported involved gliders.
§ Mr. Ian SproatThe collection of air miss data is the responsibility of the joint air miss section of the National Air Traffic Service. NATS informs me that over the three-year period January 1980 to December 1982 there have 481W been six air miss reports in the air space covered by the advisory routes Edinburgh-Aberdeen and Glasgow-Aberdeen. Of these, three reports involved gliders.
