Mr. David Watkins

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he intends to implement those provisions of the Social Security Act 1980 which will meet the Council of Europe's directive of 1978 on equal treatment for men and women in social security.

We intend to complete implementation of the necessary changes by November 1984.
