asked the Secretary of State for Energy in what circumstances a district health authority may be classified as a statutory objector under the provisions of the Opencast Mining Act 1958.

In order to be classified as a statutory objector a district health authority would have to be an owner, lessee or occupier of land within the opencast site to which they objected.
