§ Mr. Newensasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will consult the other members of the European Economic Community about the possibility of limiting arms supplies to the belligerents in the war between Iraq and Iran.
§ Mr. HurdThe supply of arms is a matter for individual Governments. We see little prospect of a consensus in this case. We are neutral in the war between Iraq and Iran and have not supplied lethal equipment to either side.
