§ Mr. Proctorasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on his policy towards inner city matters with particular reference to the voluntary sector; and whether he plans any new measures in that area.
§ Mr. KingGovernment policy is unchanged: like my predecessor, I regard the voluntary sector as a vital source of ideas, of skills and of energy and commitment. I am keen to increase its contribution to tackling the deep-seated problems of inner city areas and the rebuilding of communities.
