§ Mr. Peter Lloydasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether he will make a statement on the Government of the Republic of Ireland's claim to be reimbursed for the compensation payments made to Irish citizens who suffered property damage as a result of Army road closure operations in the 1970s.
§ Mr. PriorAgreement has been reached on the payment of IR £600,000 to the Government of the Republic of Ireland, subject to parliamentary approval. Provision for this expenditure has been taken in the spring Supplementary Estimates to be presented to the House on 17 February 1983.
