asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many interviews with general practitioners in the north-west Thames region were undertaken by regional medical officers to discuss prescribing of drugs in the last year to a convenient date.

In the year ending 31 December 1982, 101 interviews with general practitioners in the North West Thames region were undertaken by regional medical officers to discuss prescribing of drugs.

In addition, 90 routine visits were made to general practitioners in the North West Thames region in that year during which drug prescribing would have been a topic for discussion.
